Michael Bergmann, Yale School of Drama

Michael enjoys exploring projections with a technological eye.

Recent theatre work includes Accidental Death of an Anarchist (Berkeley Repertory Theatre / Yale Repertory Theatre), Iphigenia Among the Stars and Fox Play. He served as assistant projection designer on In a Year With 13 Moons (Yale Repertory Theatre), The Seagull and Angels in America, Part Two: Perestroika at the School of Drama. Other projection credits include Creation 2011, Dracula, Cat Club (Yale Cabaret); Terre Rouge and The Marriage of Bette and Boo (Théâtre Glendon).

His video art and installation work includes On Guard and Water Closeted, both presented at the Yale University Art Gallery. He also enjoys creating sound and projection experiences, such as providing the visual side of composer Matt Otto’s AlgoRhythym, and his own thesis work, TECHknowSELF.

A proud Canadian, he holds a BFA from Ryerson University in Toronto and was an Eldon Elder fellow at Yale.
