Oliver Wason

Oliver Wason, Yale School of Drama

Born to a family of musicians in scenic Rochester, New York, Oliver was taken with theater from an early age, but only found his way to lighting design after moving to New York City.

He enjoys designing for theater, opera, dance, music, and anything in between. Recent designs include Accidental Death of an Anarchist (Yale Rep, Berkeley Rep), Sunday in the Park with George, Julius Caesar, Sagittarius Ponderosa (Yale School of Drama), and an unlucky 13 shows at the Yale Cabaret including Pierrot Lunaire, The Small Things, The Maids and In the Bar of a Toyo Hotel. In New York his work has been seen at HERE Arts Center, the Ontological Incubator, The Spoon Theater, The Paradise Factory, LaMAMA, and The Cherry Pit, among other venues. Oliver is a graduate of Hunter College. Upcoming: A Little Night Music at Berkshire Theater Festival.
